The @Home is a desktop PC that is designed by our experts utilizing the latest and most trusted components. We regularly update them to match the newest generations of Intel® processors, chipsets and other innovations available with our goal to provide the perfect balance between blazing fast performance and affordability that the average home user will need. Plus the fact that they are custom built means they have a number of benefits over other PCs such as an incredible life expectancy of 7+ years, far easier repairs should there ever be a problem and much better upgradability in the future.

Solid State Drives as Standard
We think every PC should have an SSD in it for the huge benefits they bring. That’s why every @Home comes with a choice between a standard 1TB (1000GB) Hard Drive or a super fast 120GB Solid State drive. SSDs utilize the same technology that is in memory sticks, only tuned for much faster performance. An SSD will be at least ten times faster than an ordinary hard drive, a benefit for a number of reasons as it means that basically everything that you do on your computer will be noticeably more responsive.
LATEST GEN INTEL® CPUs
Every @Home comes with the latest generation of Intel processors. Why would you want to spend hundreds of pounds on a system with a multiple year old CPU inside it? Each generation improves upon the last in multiple ways, most noticeably in performance but also in other areas such as efficiency and power consumption. All of the components that go into our systems are always the newest and best parts available, so it doesn’t matter when you purchase it as you will always be getting an up to date PC.
CHOICE OF OPERATING SYSTEM
We’re a big fan of Windows 10 and would recommend it with any new PC. However, we can of course put any operating system you like on your new @Home Plus. Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 are all available to you for no extra cost, we even have copies of them installed on PCs in our shop for if you’d like to have a little play with each before you decide.
the perfect balance
Trying to get the right harmony between cost and performance is always tricky. You don’t want to spend too much for a PC that goes way beyond what you need and you definitely don’t want to spend too little and get a computer that doesn’t quite cut it. That’s why our custom built @Home is specifically designed to provide the perfect equilibrium that 90% of home users will require. Browsing the internet, editing documents and watching movies will be a breeze, even in its cheapest configuration.
Before we hand over any PC we like to run a few programs on it first. These tools will push the computer to it’s very limits to make sure that it is working as it should. By then comparing the results of these tests against previously established scores we can be positive that all the parts are working as they should, and if we do happen to find anything wrong we can swap the part out before we hand it over. Unlike off the shelf PCs where you just have to hope yours will be in the percentage of ones that happen to work!
Built to Last
Custom built PCs are much easier to repair and upgrade in the future. They’re also much more likely to have a future as they will often last twice the amount of time that pre-built laptops and PCs will. Laptops for example are only expected to last about two to three years and it’s rare to see them with warranties of longer than one. We expect our @Home to last at least seven and as a testament to this we had our first custom built PC back a little while ago, it finally had to be replaced after almost nine years.
Want a pc designed for you?
Need something to edit photos or videos? Perhaps you’ve got a large music library and need several terrabytes of storage? The spec of the @Home will be excellent for 95% of home applications as it has been designed to be everything a home computer should be, but for some purposes you’re going to need something a little different. That’s why we offer to design and build you a custom PC that is completely tailored to your needs.
