You won’t always know what’s going wrong with your PC, and even when you do, you’re not going to know exactly what’s causing it. That’s why we offer to diagnose any desktop, laptop or mac for free in our workshop. Domestic customers only.
If you have a problem with your Laptop or PC, bring it down to one of our technicians, and we’ll take a look at it while you wait. You could also call us or send us an email but most problems will require us to at least see your computer before we can be certain about what’s going wrong and give you a price to fix the issue.
Occasionally when facing more complicated issues we might ask to keep your computer for a day so that we can do some thorough investigating. This is still part of our free diagnostics service and you won’t be charged. We’ll take a few details from you first and then once we’ve worked out what the problem is and how we can fix it we’ll be in touch to discuss what options we have.
Pricing after diagnostics
During the diagnostics we will decide on a price to fix your device together. Usually we will quote the price of one of our already established services but may offer a more bespoke arrangement or an hourly labour rate depending on the situation. Simply put, all pricing will be agreed upon before we starting doing any billable work to avoid any unnecessary surprises and extra costs!
Your personal Data
Continuing with the theme of surprises… It’s becoming too common that we have customers come and see us that have previously been to other computer repair shops and have subsequently lost all of their data due to the apathetic attitude of the staff there. We want to make it very clear that we will under no circumstances do anything that will affect your data or programs without first consulting you. We are solely here to make things simple for you, not difficult!
Changing Your Mind
You can of course choose to decline our services before we start doing any work. We try very hard to make sure the prices we charge are fair for the amount of work that we have to carry out for each service but sometimes you might not be up for spending that much on your device. When this happens we’ll give you your computer back and you won’t be charged. We should also be able to offer you a discount on a new computer depending on our current offers.
